Glitched Alice in Wonderland Collage Part 1
Some of our Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass posts were among our most popular and most liked photos. So, of course, we did a encore. Lewis was a professor. His novels are full of puzzles, so of course is dear to us as data scientists. We previously used two of these in our puzzle segment. There is an in-browser videogame easter-egg hidden on our blog. This photo is the proof .(Score is lower right in the photo). As you can see we’ve destroyed most of the menu bar and some of the comment fields. Also some of the blog text has been annihilated. We nuked one of instagram photos in the instagram widget (present at the time), and have started to work on that tricky slider. To get the unlock code to play the videogame you can either hunt for clues hidden on the blog OR for a limited time you can just complete the ultra-short survey. (Currently, just follow the link in our bio to get there.) completing the survey applies your feed for a shoutout. Most importantly, you’ll be telling us how to keep our content relevant. (Did we mention posting screenshots showing your high score?) Post and some comments below may be synced from our original Instagram version.… Read the restGlitched Historical Centennial Bulb
A glitched pop-art version of the historic light bulb we used in one of our first IG posts. That version was the featured image for our blog article on validation of start-up ideas. This is a version of the Centennial bulb of Livermore, CA. It is the longest burning light bulb of all time. Post and some comments below may be synced from our original Instagram version. Here’s a glitch of steampunk icon Charles Babbage himself (Wikipedia bio). (This is part 3 of a series of glitch art photos posted to our Instagram feed.) Babbage invented a mechanical computer in the 19th century that is still being studied today. It was one of our most popular set of photos on IG. So, of course we had to do some glitched art versions. Later versions of Babbage’s inventions were built after his death and performed calculations for tables used by sailors and statisticians. These early mechanical computers were gradually improved over the next 200 years, ultimately incorporating electronics. The history of the computer does not begin with the transistor.
