Nasa Mars pathfinder missing examining a (now famous) rock on the Red Planet. (We’re continuing our Mars space exploration theme from the past few posts.) In this photo, the Sojourner rover of the Nasa Mars Pathfinder mission is using its X-ray spectrometer to measure Yogi Rock.
Yogi Rock is now a famous place on Mars. It’s even got a Wikipedia entry. We know everyone remembers their Martian geography. We just need to say the name of the place on Mars and everyone and their real estate agent knows exactly where that is. Heck, it’s probably got a postal code already.
Well, actually, it’s mostly famous due to that reality TV and webcam show called the Nasa Mars Pathfinder mission. What reality TV can do to places, huh? We hear the real estate there’s still plenty cheap, though, despite the fame.
